Katrina Housing Foundation

Hurricane Katrina was one of the most catastrophic disasters to ever hit the United States. It caused billions of damage to the Gulf Coast of Mississippi, Alabama, Florida and Louisiana. August 2008 will mark Katrina’s three year anniversary.

The Katrina Housing Foundation is a not-for-profit organization, incorporated in 2005 and certified as a 501(c)3 by the Internal Revenue Service.

The Foundation’s primary objectives are to develop affordable housing and provide housing assistance through down payment grants.

Katrina will function in areas where existing housing programs are not readily available to those who should, could and would be a homeowner except for the lack of available programs.

The Foundation’s primary areas of interest and focus are Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama and Florida. Katrina will also expand further east and into the Midwest where needed.

Katrina has been working with experienced and available real estate developers, planners and
construction management personnel interested in assisting the Foundation in the areas where Katrina plans to fulfill its objectives.

You can help the Katrina Housing Foundation provide homes for those who would otherwise be unable to purchase one by donating whatever amount possible right now, on-line. Thank you!
