Builder Participation

Welcome to Katrina’s Builder Participation Program! 

Katrina is forming partnerships with local builders who will donate their labor to help those in need achieve the American Dream.  The Foundation is currently focusing its efforts in Mississippi, Louisiana, Alabama, Florida and Georgia.

Katrina builds homes on land that is donated to or purchased by the Foundation.  Katrina works with local vendors and newspapers requesting that they donate building materials and advertising.  All those donating labor, material or advertising receive tax donation receipts.

Homebuyers are referred to Katrina by several governmental agencies.  Katrina reviews all applications and chooses ten.  The home is awarded by a lotto drawing.  A city official or other representative from a governmental agency will reside over the lotto and choose the final homeowner.
